Joining the panel discussion on Tech enabled learning
Dr Sara de Freitas is a leading international educator in university and school education settings. Her work as a researcher, senior executive in UK and Australian universities and an education executive and director of Wey Education PLC – an AIM listed company has led to a deep understanding of education theory, student needs and continuous quality improvement. She has published over 100 conference papers and journals, 7 books and led on 58 research and development projects raising over £5 million in research and development funds from European and UK research councils and funds to support innovations in online education, human computer interaction and learning enhancements. Her most recent book: Education in Computer Generated Environments published by Routledge outlines a vision for new learning. She is also a Governor of Sunderland University where she supports the academic development of the university. Her current work focuses on implementing the Learn-Explore-Apply-Reflect model at InterHigh and Academy21, building a virtual campus and leading on quality and student engagement for around 4,000 students from the UK and overseas.
