We are delighted to be supporting two charities through The PIE Live Europe this year:

British Homes and Schools for Ukrainians - BHSU

The Disasters Emergency Committee - DEC

During Day 1, we will be selling raffle tickets from The PIE stand (no.39). Winners will be drawn at our gala dinner on the Tuesday evening - we have 11 fantastic prizes to win!

BHSU: British Homes and Schools for Ukrainians is a CIC (Community Interest Company), that was set up in response to the war and refugee crisis by two teams, working together: Living Learning English based in Bristol and the Business Link team from Ukraine. Tetyana and Valeriya were forced to leave Kyiv and then Ukraine, and arrived to the UK through the ‘Homes for Ukraine’ scheme, with Kate’s help, finding hosts and protection from war. They brought Business Link colleagues from Ukraine who in turn brought their family members to safety in the UK. From here, BHSU operates to help other Ukrainians find temporary homes in the UK, assists with school places, English language, and further adaptation while Ukraine continues fighting for freedom and democracy. www.bhsu.co.uk

DEC: The DEC brings together 15 leading UK aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of crisis overseas. In these times of crisis, people in life-and-death situations need our help and our mission is to save, protect and rebuild lives through effective humanitarian response. Pooling our resources to work as one, we are pivotal in co-ordinating the UK public's response to overseas disasters. In collaboration with our Rapid Response Network of national media and corporate partners, we raise the alarm to the UK public and set up easy ways to donate. And we have immediate impact, getting aid to people who need it, fast. https://www.dec.org.uk
